Seed has created the second Story for the Shoe Clinics “real people story” Competition (found here: Shoe Clinic Real Story Competition). Ally who is from the Kapiti Coast is the winner of the second “real people story” competition created by the Shoe Clinic. Ally is a nurse and fitness is a huge stress release from her everyday work. A big part of her fitness routine was running. However Ally sustained a number of serious injuries and was told she may never run again. Her knee injuries were so bad that she would at work sit there crying from the pain. Her stress fractures meant she could no longer run and this was caused by bad shoes and posture. She went to see the podiatrist who corrected her feet with in-souls and sent her to the Shoe Clinic to get the right shoes. The Shoe Clinic assessed her running style to get the correct shoes. They went through the steps to complete the fitting process and listened to the podiatrist to decide on a suitable shoe.

Now finding the right shoe Ally runs pain free and she has been able to achieve her goals. One goal is to run a marathon which she has already planned for.

Filming of Ally’s story consisted of half a day filming the interview and half a day of cut-a-ways (the shots we place over the top of the interview).
